Generating a vision of peace—Enlightenment Stupa prayers and Prayers for Peace in Bodh Gaya, India
Pray for the good of all sentient beings! Offer prayers and Intentions now.
Beyond the beliefs of any one religion, there is the truth of the human spirit. Beyond the power of nations, there is the power of the human heart. Beyond the ordinary mind, the power of wisdom, love, and healing energy are at work in the universe. When we can find peace within our own hearts,
we contact these universal powers.
This is our only hope.” Tarthang Tulku
There has never been a more important and urgent time to offer prayers for peace and healing, the end of aggression, violence, and hatred. For the protection of all sentient beings and the earth we share. For the continuation of the Dharma teachings, teachers, and communities.
You can make a difference!
The Monlam Chenmo (Great Prayers for World Peace) in Bodh Gaya, India
is a living example of prayers for peace in our troubled world today (video below).
Prayers at the Odiyan Enlightenment Stupa are part of this stream of powerful intentions to bring healing and peace to all beings.
We are seeing wars and what seems to be unprecedented, natural disasters around the world and often feel helpless in the face of the enormous suffering. We know that the Buddha-Dharma is the greatest refuge for sentient beings and
our best hope for the pacification of raging emotions and for a
universe that will endure for a very long time.
Support for the Buddha-Dharma in Asia is a priority of the Yeshe De project, creating and distributing books essential to the preservation and dissemination of this ancient Wisdom Tradition. Hear about it: https://youtu.be/oFBhgR09p6c
We all recognize that this is a critical period in the history of our world. By offering prayers, practicing generosity, and dedicating the positive energy generated (merit), we have an opportunity to affect what lies in the future for all beings and our world.
Join with sponsors from around the world participating in this powerful stream of blessings by offering prayers at the Odiyan Enlightenment Stupa for our worldly environment and all those who inhabit it, for release from the grips of disease, for an end to hatred and divisiveness, for political and economic stability, for the improvement of world circumstances, or simply for whatever is closest to your heart.

Venerable Tarthang Rinpoche has founded twenty non-profit organizations dedicated to preserving the profound teachings that flourished in his native Tibet. He has authored 40 books in English to introduce the ancient wisdom tradition of Tibetan Buddhism to the contemporary public. He oversees the Yeshe De Project, responsible for putting many thousands of sacred texts and sacred art back into the hands of Tibetans inside and outside Tibet. He has sponsored Peace Ceremonies in India inviting the Tibetan Buddhist Sangha to practice together for the sake of all beings.
Tarthang Tulku, one of the last remaining lamas to have received a complete Buddhist education in pre-1959 Tibet, left Tibet and emigrated to the USA in 1969. Young people were deeply attracted to him and his teaching and so a Sangha was born in Berkeley, CA— one of the very first Tibetan Buddhist Sanghas in the West. While not large, this Sangha under his direction has accomplished so much for the preservation of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, and the spread of the teachings in the West, that the scope of it seems almost unimaginable.
Nyingma Sangha Trust is responsible for caring for the
Sangha of full-time volunteers. No easy task, yet it has successfully fulfilled
it's mandate for many years. Now, many in this Sangha are aging. To care for
them as their energies wane Nyingma Trust is promoting the
construction of the Lotus Senior Center at Ratna Ling. The Center is nearing
completion and will soon be welcoming volunteers. Please join us in
supporting this important project. Contact us for more information on how
you can help and participate lotushealing@ratnaling.org
